School Sodality 2023 new member installation

The Sodality is a group of young ladies who are committed to growing in personal holiness and serving their school community through their consecration to Jesus through Mary. The 15 young women of this Sodality, under spiritual guidance   of Sisters Servants of the Lord and the Virgin of Matará were preparing for this day for the whole year. They attended meetings, learned songs and deepened their knowledge about the Blessed Mother of God. During the consecration ceremony, the candidates made their Marian pledge and received a medal and a blue blessed garment as an outward sign of their consecration with the Sodality.

2023 Class Graduation Day

Twenty four strong, smart, funny, kind teenagers prayed together this Saturday morning with their teachers and families joining them at the Divine Liturgy. They received their diplomas from Mrs. Shumny and Father Ivan, and then it was picture time. Afterwards, students and their families came back to school for their breakfast and awards ceremony. Each student received recognition for clubs and activities they participated in, and received monetary awards donated by teachers, parishioners and supporters of our school. Our generous supporters donated over $5000 to our graduates to recognize our students’ achievements in school subjects, community service, honoring their heritage and living their faith. This year, three Ukrainian refugee students, who enrolled at ACS  after escaping war, also graduated with their new friends in the USA. Congratulations to our graduates!

Thanks to Sr. Veronica, Sr. Trijtsi, Sr. Svitanku for preparing parish children and Mrs. Kukuruza, 2nd  grade teacher for preparing ACS school students for this joyful day. May God bless you always.

Taco-bout some rad dads!

Thank you to all the fathers and father figures that came to our Tacos with Dad event at ACS.  Today the Student Council opened the program with a prayer service for our father figures.  This was followed by a short program by our PK- 5 classes and the 7th grade closed the program with a few poems about their dads.  For lunch we enjoyed tacos and rice.  Mrs. Shumny gave out some door prizes as we ate and the fun ended with each Dad getting a special cupcake. Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!
