Catholic Schools Week – Day Three

The third day of Catholic Schools Week concluded with our joyful Faith, Family, Fun Day. We began with a beautiful morning liturgy, where parents and grandparents joined us in prayer. A special highlight was the inspiring homily by Fr. Ivan, who emphasized that at the heart of Catholic education is not simply academic excellence—important as it is—but something even greater: the formation of the whole person. At Assumption School, children not only learn how to live in the world, but also why they live and for whom they live.
The celebration continued in the school auditorium with a heartfelt presentation by the Sisters, followed by a Sodality spiritual performance, “Devotion to the Seven Sorrows of Mary.” To top it all off, we ended the morning with three exciting games of Bingo! A heartfelt thank you to Mr. and Mrs. Baginsky for organizing such a fun event, and to our FSA Board members for providing delicious cake and coffee for our teachers.
Thank you to everyone who helped make this week so special. Catholic Schools Week is a beautiful reminder of the faith, family, and community that make our school truly extraordinary.

Catholic Schools Week 2026.

Day 1 & Day 2 Highlights at Assumption Catholic Schools Week.
The week kicked off with two incredible days filled with faith, family, creativity, and joyful learning.
Day 1 – Wednesday, January 28 began with prayer and the celebration of our Honor Roll students, grounding the week in gratitude and academic excellence. Students proudly showed school spirit on Blue & Yellow Day, while the halls buzzed with excitement for Anything BUT a Book Bag Day, showcasing impressive creativity across all grades. A highlight of the day was the Special Person Breakfast, where families joined students for prayer, music, and meaningful time together.
Learning came alive across grade levels with engaging activities—from snow-themed faith lessons and literacy games in Pre-K, to hands-on science led by our eighth graders, creative art projects, music adventures, and collaborative classroom experiences. Our older students shined as leaders, teaching younger classmates and spreading kindness through service projects, truly reflecting the strong sense of community at ACS.
Day 2 – Thursday, January 29 continued the excitement with Crazy Hat & Socks Day and an unforgettable Space Dome experience, where students explored the wonders of God’s creation through an immersive journey of space and science. A whole-school activity focused on gratitude, as students wrote heartfelt thank-you letters to their parents, celebrating family during Catholic Schools Week.
Throughout the day, classes blended faith and learning through religion reflections, STEM challenges, creative art projects, faith-based games, and meaningful discussions. From Pre-K watercolor crosses and science fun, to upper-grade faith conversations, quizzes, and shared celebrations, every grade found unique ways to grow in faith, knowledge, and joy.
These first two days perfectly captured the spirit of Catholic Schools Week—celebrating our faith, honoring our families, and rejoicing in the joy of learning together. We can’t wait to continue the celebration!

ACS Annual Christmas Concert 2025

This evening, our ACS community gathered for our Annual Christmas Concert, a beautiful celebration of faith, talent, and togetherness.
In her opening, our Principal reminded us of our school’s mission to know, to love, and to serve God, and how tonight’s concert brought that mission to life through music, prayer, and joy. She warmly welcomed Father Ivan, our Sisters, teachers, parents, and friends, and gave special thanks to our students whose dedication and talents shone so brightly on stage.
As we prepare for Christmas, we were invited to reflect on the great gift of Jesus — God’s love made visible to us — and to carry that love into our homes and communities with peace, hope, and gratitude.
The evening concluded beautifully with Father Ivan, who shared a heartfelt message on the true meaning of Christmas and reminded us of the importance of coming together in church as a faith community.
Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this evening so special. Especially our music teacher, Ms. Lawrence!
The Christmas spirit was truly felt by all, and everyone enjoyed the spirited music sung by our beautiful students.
God bless you all, and we hope you have a very Merry Christmas!
We are incredibly proud of our students — enjoy a few highlights from the concert below!
