Class of 2024 Kindergarten Graduation

The annual Kindergarten Graduation ceremony at ACS took place today, Monday, June 10th in the school auditorium. Our graduates looked wonderful in their caps and gowns and beautiful smiles! The class performed a few familiar songs before receiving their diplomas from Mrs. Shumny. Special thanks to Mrs. Perez for this fantastic Kindergarten year!
Congratulations to the Class of 2024! It was a memorable celebration of their early educational achievements!

2024 Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 Stepping Up Ceremony

The 2024 Pre-K Stepping Up was a memorable event held at ACS on Monday, June 10, 2024. This special ceremony celebrated the learning achievements of our young students, highlighting their growth and development over the academic year.
Under the dedicated guidance of Pre-K teacher Mrs. Dena Florez, the children were well-prepared and showcased their readiness for future educational endeavors. The program was designed to be both enjoyable and meaningful, providing a joyful and reflective experience for the students and their families.
The day was filled with pride, joy, and a sense of accomplishment, marking an important milestone in the educational journey of our young students.

Spring Concert

The end of the school year is full of many different celebrations and this afternoon was no exception! Parents gathered to see our students perform one last time for the 2023-2024 school year. Our Ukrainian dancers debuted two new pieces, an all-girl basket

dance and a piece dedicated to the Ukrainian soldiers on the frontlines.
Our chimes and show choir performed one of our favorite songs, De Colores. Students from pre-k up to seventh grade sang a selection of songs from Sesame Street.
There was the โ€œBaa Baa Bamba,โ€ performed by our Pre-K and Kinder students accompanied by our seventh grade students on ukuleles, โ€œDance Myself to Sleepโ€ which featured our 3rd and 4th graders singing and tap dancing, and classics like โ€œOne Small Voiceโ€ sung by 1st and 2nd grade and โ€œSingโ€ performed by our 6th and 7th graders in both English and featuring a Spanish language solo by 6th grader Luis. The program was rounded out with a few other Sesame Street classics that definitely had some parents singing along, reminiscing about their own childhood. All agreed that the students were fantastic and put on a show enjoyed by all.
Thank you to Ms. Lawrence for her dedication to our students and ACS

Graduation Class 2024!

Assumption Catholic School presents its 55th graduating Eighth Grade graduating class. Twenty-four strong, smart, funny, kind, and helpful teenagers gathered with their teachers and families for Divine Liturgy on Saturday morning. Following the service, Mrs. Shumny and Father Ivan awarded them their diplomas, and it was time for pictures.

Afterward, students and their families returned to the school for breakfast and an awards ceremony. Our Valedictorian, Timofey, Salutatorian, Lucas, and Honorable Mention, Elijah, delivered heartfelt speeches before the awards were handed out. Each student was recognized for their achievements and received monetary awards donated by teachers, parishioners, and supporters of our school. Our generous supporters contributed nearly $6000 to honor our studentsโ€™ excellence in academics, community service, heritage, and faith.

The weather was perfect, and the ceremony was beautiful. May God these beautiful students as they start their High School years.

Congratulations to the Class of 2024

Warren Park Picnic

Another end the school year adventure took place today!
On this beautiful, cool, sunny morning ACS students met at Warren Park for their annual picnic. They went on hikes, played basketball, had fun in the playgrounds, and just enjoyed being out in the sunshine. The FSA prepared the food that was enjoyed  by all. Many parents and alumni were so helpful and we are so appreciative of everyoneโ€™s time and help! Many students went on a hike with Ms. Roque,  where they met the challenge of making  it up “the hill.” The day could not be complete without saying thank you to Mr Lee, our benefactor, who made this day possible and of course the delicious ice cream truck!
