ACS First Lock-In Retreat: A Night to Remember!

What a truly special and unforgettable evening we are sharing at the ACS First Lock-In, filled with faith, friendship, and fun!
We began with a warm welcome in the auditorium, setting the tone for a night full of meaningful experiences.

✨ Learning About Friendship
✨

The Sisters kicked off our evening with an inspiring lesson on friendship for our 7th and 8th graders in the convent. They shared insights into what makes a good friendship, the qualities to look for, and examples of unhealthy friendships. Most importantly,
they encouraged our students  to reflect on their friendship with God and how it shapes our lives.

Time in the Church

Next, we headed to church, where Father Ivan introduced students and teachers to the tabernacle and the candle that symbolizes Jesus’ constant presence among us. Together, we prayed Fifteen Minutes in the Company of Jesus in the Blessed Sacrament—it was a truly
beautiful and moving moment. We also lit candles with our own special intentions, filling the space with light and prayerful hearts.

Faith-Filled Fun

Back at school, the energy soared with exciting activities that brought everyone closer together!

• Saints vs. Sinners Freeze Tag got everyone running and laughing.

• A Saint Scavenger Hunt had students racing through the halls to find Saints hidden throughout the building. Who doesn’t love running in the halls—without getting in trouble?!

• After a quick pizza break, we played Guess Who I Am? with the Saints we discovered. The students amazed us with their knowledge and creativity!

Ending with Reflection.

As the clock struck midnight, we ended the night with heartfelt prayer, some quiet reflecting, and a movie to wind down.

This evening isn’t just an event—it is an experience that strengthens our relationships with each other and, most importantly, with God.

Stay tuned for our 2am service (if they can stay awake!), writing Christmas cards for the senior’s Center and Divine Liturgy in the morning ….. and of course delicious breakfast! Did we mention that we are all spending the night at ACS?
