Assumption Catholic School presents its 55th graduating Eighth Grade graduating class. Twenty-four strong, smart, funny, kind, and helpful teenagers gathered with their teachers and families for Divine Liturgy on Saturday morning. Following the service, Mrs. Shumny and Father Ivan awarded them their diplomas, and it was time for pictures.
Afterward, students and their families returned to the school for breakfast and an awards ceremony. Our Valedictorian, Timofey, Salutatorian, Lucas, and Honorable Mention, Elijah, delivered heartfelt speeches before the awards were handed out. Each student was recognized for their achievements and received monetary awards donated by teachers, parishioners, and supporters of our school. Our generous supporters contributed nearly $6000 to honor our students’ excellence in academics, community service, heritage, and faith.
The weather was perfect, and the ceremony was beautiful. May God these beautiful students as they start their High School years.
Congratulations to the Class of 2024
