The end of the school year is full of many different celebrations and this afternoon was no exception! Parents gathered to see our students perform one last time for the 2023-2024 school year. Our Ukrainian dancers debuted two new pieces, an all-girl basket
dance and a piece dedicated to the Ukrainian soldiers on the frontlines.
Our chimes and show choir performed one of our favorite songs, De Colores. Students from pre-k up to seventh grade sang a selection of songs from Sesame Street.
There was the “Baa Baa Bamba,” performed by our Pre-K and Kinder students accompanied by our seventh grade students on ukuleles, “Dance Myself to Sleep” which featured our 3rd and 4th graders singing and tap dancing, and classics like “One Small Voice” sung by 1st and 2nd grade and “Sing” performed by our 6th and 7th graders in both English and featuring a Spanish language solo by 6th grader Luis. The program was rounded out with a few other Sesame Street classics that definitely had some parents singing along, reminiscing about their own childhood. All agreed that the students were fantastic and put on a show enjoyed by all.
Thank you to Ms. Lawrence for her dedication to our students and ACS
