Pre-K and their fourth grade buddies were busy creating a Fleur di Lis sun catcher during our Catholic School’s Week festivities. Why the Fleur di Lis you might ask? The flower symbolizes the purity of the Virgin Mary. The three petals also stand for the Blessed Trinity. The colors they used are the Mardi Gras colors, purple for justice, green for faith and gold for power. So much information in one little symbol, which is used in many ways.
