MAP-TELLING by Mrs. Bernstein’s Terrific Third Grade

Telling stories is hard enough, try telling stories without using sentences, paragraphs, or punctuation! The Terrific Third is doing just that – retelling a story using maps! Where the River Begins by Thomas Locker is the subject of our map-telling creations. After reading the story together, students created map interpretations. Next, students partnered and shared their maps with one another, collaborated and merged the two drawings into one final product. Lastly, students presented their maps to their classmates.
